ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

This Research is intended to examine cases of sexual violence with regards to the Protection of
Women ( Criminal Law Amendment) Act, 2016 ( hereinafter referred to as the 'Women Protection Act')
and how higher courts' judgments have treated these cases. In addition to this, the objective of
this exploratory pilot study is to track the journey of rape cases in order to highlight the
institutional impediments to justice.
